For some reason I misunderstood this product initially in thinking that the tape was somehow permanently on the side of the scissors so they are connected somehow together when using both. It’s not really like that.The tape roll is just happens to be in the shape of a sheath for the scissors. So if using the scissors you need to remove them completely and place the tape roll down.This discovery was a bit of a let down for me, as it still leaves the tape and scissors as separate and you can’t really use them same time together, they are still two separate pieces.It is nice however that there is a sheath for these scissors as they are surprisingly SHARP. I figure that’s actually the best part of the product though- is that they have a good and heavy weight to them and they are super sharp. I do have kids so I actually appreciate that the sheath covers them and sort of slows down any kids getting to them if they do reach them I have a little more time to snatch them back before they can figure out how to use or open them at all.You can tell from handling them that they are much better quality than any of the other office or household scissors I had around the house. The price is a little more than I would typically pay for scissors, but when you consider it’s also a tape roll and nicer than any other ones I own it’s probably well worth the asking price for them.Overall I’d still recommend them, as they are made well and a good design idea. I’m not going to deduct for my own misunderstanding on the product, but hopefully the clarification helps somebody else.Overall I’d recommend it.
