We organize vending events where we have to lay out booth locations with painters tape. We decided to try this because we thought it would be better for long straight runs. What we found is that the mounting for the tape rolls allows them to move around too much and causes the lines to be wavy. We eventually stopped using it and went back to our old method of snapping the tape like a chalk line which works great but requires at least two people to do. To be fair this was the least expensive option but we still expected it to work better than it did. Hence the warning, you get what you pay for.
