Used under floating Cali bamboo flooring. Worked well for my needs. Not as thick as Robert’s similar underlayment, which I used for other rooms. It may be a consideration in case more soundproofing is desired. This one is 3-4 mm where Robert’s is about 5-6 mm. Although this one appears to be slightly tighter woven (more compacted). Attaching side picture of both for comparison. Robert’s is green. Just finished the project and wanted to share a couple of small advices:(1) make sure your subfloor is mostly flat. This underpayment will absorb some imperfections but if subfloor is uneven - consider fixing it. I learned it hard way: putting everything down and realizing that new flooring is having significant gaps in some areas. This would have definitely caused issues in a long run (squeaks, breaking joints, etc) Had to uninstall everything and used self-leveling underlayment from Lowe’s by Mapei to fill all areas that were lower. Worked very well even though this was a first time I did it. Used someone’s YouTube video on how to level it with big screeching board. Make sure to follow instructions(2) if your subfloor is squeaky - go through with screws and fix them. This is best time to do that. It is amazing when nothing squeaks after you finish the project.All in all - great product and very cost effective. Definitely a superior choice compare to cheap foam underlayments.
