First time trying this tape for mountain bike tubeless setup. Let me say… I will never use Gorilla Tape (GT) again! And I have tried and failed to use Stan’s tape a few times but I must be doing something wrong. I can’t get it to stretch or stick without a ton of wrinkles and bubbles. Have been using GT for years but as we all know the adhesive residue is a nightmare to get off. Tried kapton based on a recommendation from cousin and it is awesome! I’m running WTB ST i30 wheels so I trimmed this 1.5” (38.1mm) tape down to 30mm with a clamp, wedge and razor blade. Tape laid right down and even the wrinkles sealed right up. It’s super sticky but not in an obnoxious way like GT. Anyway, poured some Stan’s in and tires beaded right up. Easiest tubeless setup I’ve done to date. Kapton FTW!!
