There have been vehicle modifications and repairs where I've had to research, YouTube and jerry rig things to make it work. Some take hours and multitudes of tools, as well as trips back & forth to the auto parts store. For this spoiler, the hardest part was clicking "BUY IT NOW".I read the specs, verified make/model compatibly and ordered it. Definitely wary about drilling holes in my brand new Optima so I opted for the double sided tape mounting.Tape mounting:It came with a thin strip of tape but I wanted some heavier duty tape. Read up on quality tape and went to store for the 3M extra strength molding type. They didn't have 3M but I found Loctite Extra Strength Tape.**Updated per tape issue.Loctite came loose due to moisture + heat. Pulled it off, removed sticky backing and used 3M extreme molding tape and lined the border completely. It hasn't budged nor lifted since. **-Cleaned the trunk and spoiler per instructions.-Used painters tape to edge the left & right borders of the spoiler on the trunk.-Used another 2 strips of painters tape in the center of spoiler & trunk lid to mark dead center to line everything up exactly-Double check trunk cleanliness, spoiler fit & centering. Once tape goes on and spoiler is down, it won't be an easy task to readjust.-Applied the double sided tape onto the underside of spoiler in 6 inch staggered strips-Angled the back of the spoiler onto the trunk and slowly lowering it down in between painters tape border.-For a few minutes, press down and smooth out with a soft cloth while keeping pressure on left & right sides of spoiler for tape to setI'll update if I have any issues but for now this spoiler isn't moving at all.
